What are the tasks?
As a greenhouse manager, you will have various responsibilities related to greenhouses: Coordinate the work of day laborers in his greenhouses Train new day laborers Determine the frequency and time required for watering according to the temperature and type of plants Carry out a regular round in order to adjust the watering Perform the detection of insects and diseases in the plants Perform a visual inspection of the plants (color, size and humidity) Proceed with the daily harvest according to the pre-established list Bagging of the plants harvested and clean the plants if necessary Box the basil plants (only regular basil greenhouse) Rotate the plants Count the plants rejected for lack of quality Cut the cuttings when required Transplant the rosemary Participate taking inventory Manage the germination room Validate the proper functioning of the sprinkler system (valves, p pumps, spaghetti, etc.) Ensure the cleanliness of tables, carts and the greenhouse in general Fill the packaging supplies Propose methods to improve the quality of plants and production methods Apply the requirements related to the GAP standard Canada Perform all other related tasks What is the schedule?
We’re talking about a full-time schedule, 40 hours a week. Hours vary as follows: Winter: Monday: 6:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. All other days: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Summer: Monday: 6:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday: 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday, Thursday and Friday: 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. What qualifications are required to occupy the post?
